The central question of the event series is ‘How do we want to live tomorrow?’ – it's about urban development, the environment and community, and the associated forward-looking topics – how can we make cities greener, healthier and more liveable?
The free online format celebrated its debut on 2 September with three highly interesting lectures:
- Prof. Dr. Susanne Moebus spoke about the city as a health resource
- Gil Penalosa PhDhc gave a keynote speech on the topic of ‘Liveable cities for people of all ages’
- Céleste Rouberol reported on Paris' path to becoming a garden city
One key insight underpins the presentations: ‘Change is hard.’ The approach is important. Paris is building on the motto ‘If you experience it, you want to protect it’ and is bringing urban greenery into the focus of residents' attention. For Rouberol, every garden is a victory. But the political level also plays a role. Urban greenery and climate-adapted cities must be a priority. This is because it influences three levels of health: physical, mental and social.
We would like to express our gratitude for the organisation and the exciting event!
