The decoration of the flower hall was one of the most beautiful in recent years, according to Dr Marianne Altmann. A big compliment to the Landgard initiative ‘1000 good reasons’. Horticulture is well valued!

ZVG President Eva Kähler-Theuerkauf and Moritz Krannich, CEO of Landgard, welcomed the guests; greetings were also given by Silke Gorißen, Minister of Agriculture of North Rhine-Westphalia, and the Mayor of Berlin. Federal Minister of Agriculture Alois Rainer pledged his support to the industry and emphasised that the horticulture department at the BMLEH would remain in place.

The event was well attended – a major gathering of the who's who of horticulture. The dialogue that began here will certainly continue at the IPM in Essen. There are plenty of topics to discuss given the current challenges.
